P – Tech Presence Detector

A loop free detection device designed to greatly reduce tripping hazards and the need for repair. Detection is achieved with new technology that is mounted to the side of the tie just below grade in a small metallic case. Sensitivity can be easily adjusted at the tower interface via an LCD screen and keypad. The P-Tech will not emit any signal. Therefore, the products will not interfere with each other within a close proximity.

1.0 MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS

1.1 Sensor — 2 included with each system
4.375 X 2.375 X 1.25 inch
Fastened to the downhill side of the tie with two wood screws
Quick disconnect provided at the sensor for quick replacement
50 ft of direct burial cable provided with each sensor
Impervious to harsh weather

1.2 Tower Interface
Can be ordered in a 10 x 12 x 6 inch NEMA 4 box or for direct placement in the Harmon PD2500 box
NEMA 4 box provided with bracket for mounting to top of 4.5 inch OD pipe
Impervious to harsh weather
LED screen for viewing:
• Activation set points for each sensor
• Signal strength (Amount of magnetic change sensed) for each sensor via a bar graph)
• Identification of sensors that are triggering presence

Power Requirement = 5 VDC provided by tower interface

2.2 Tower Interface
Power Requirement = 10-30 VDC, .2 Amp
Power Requirement = 110 VAC, 150 watt for heater (Only required to keep LCD display active in cold environments)
Output signal is a dry contact configurable as NC (recommended) or NO
Surge suppression provided on:
• Incoming power
• Sensor signal lines
